The innovative cultural project creates new synergies

• The foundation ‘Fondazione Internazionale per la Scultura’ will take ownership of the whole estate.
• A management company will run the Centro.
• New work places created in the region.
• The whole investment of ten million Swiss francs for the construction of the Centro Internazionale di Scultura will be financed by gift donations from foundations and private and public sponsors.
• ‘Vallemaggia pietraviva’ promotes the image of this new enterprise that has its very foundation in a local resource. It is our aim that Peccia, the Borough of Lavizzara and the Canton of Ticino as a whole will be made internationally renowned as a place for art and sculpture.
• Artists from other parts of the world should consider it an honour to receive a grant for one of the seven studios.
• Cooperation with other cultural institutions will be sought on a national and international level.
• The realisation of the Centro Internazionale di Scultura should also have a positive effect on the Swiss marble industry.
